Alzheimer's disease is one of a progressive diseases that usually affects memory and several other mental functions. Initially, an affected person may notice little confusion and difficulty in remembering things but later on, he may forget important people also in their lives. The disorder is also a common cause of dementia, which is in turn a group of brain disorders that causes loss of social and intellectual skills.
