Heart failure is also known as congestive heart failure it occurs when pumping power of heart gets affected. In this condition, heart muscles don't pump blood as they normally do. Heart has the four chambers, two atria in the upper half of heart and two ventricles in the lower half of heart. Ventricles pump blood to all the organs and atria receive the blood so that it can circulate back to body. So in the case of congestive heart failure, ventricles don't pump blood in sufficient volume to body.
